History

The peoples of Northeast Europe have roots in prehistory, but these are obscure and can only be examined through archeology. They are also obscure in antiquity, but a few hints can be considered. Linguistic evidence suggests that the Indo-European speaking poeples may have originated here. In classical and medieval times, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, and other Northeast European peoples began to have a written history. In modern times, they began to become prominent in European and world history. Their future has not yet been examined
