The prehistory of Hispanic peoples is not well known, and roots in antiquity are obscure. Hispanic peoples as such developed mostly in classical and medieval times, and became prominent in modern times. Their future has not yet been well examined. |

Prehistory is mostly inaccessible except through archaeology. I do not yet have details of early prehistory, middle prehistory, or late prehistory.
Antiquity including the 5th millennium BC, the 4th millennium BC, and the 3rd millennium BC is not yet well developed. For the the 2nd millennium BC, Bronze age culture can be identified, but I do not yet have details for the early 2nd millennium BC, the early mid 2nd millennium BC, the mid 2nd millennium BC, the late mid 2nd millennium BC, or the late 2nd millennium BC. In the early 1st millennium BC, Iron age culture began to appear, but I do not yet have details of the 10th century BC, the 9th century BC, the 8th century BC, the 7th century BC, the 6th century BC, or the 5th century BC.
In early classical times, Spain was conquered by the Romans. I do not yet have details of the 5th century BC, the 4th century BC, the 3rd century BC, the 2nd century BC, or the early 1st century BC. I do not yet have details of late classical times including the 1st century CE, 2nd century CE, 3rd century CE, 4th century CE, or 5th century CE.. I do not yet have details of the early medieval period including the 6th century CE, 7th century CE, 8th century CE, 9th century CE, or 10th century CE. In the late medieval period, these were chiefly concerned with the Reconquista, the conquest of Spain from Muslim rule. I do not yet have details for the 11th century, 12th century, 13th century, or 14th century, but in the 15th century the reconquista was completed, and Hispanic peoples discovered and began colonizing the New World of the Americas.
In the 16th century the Spanish advanced the process of exploration and discovery. They conquered and colonized Mexico, plundered the treasures of the Aztec empire, destroyed the Aztec city of Tenochtitlan and refounded it as Mexico City. They established Hispanic Colombian america, conquered the Inca Empire of Peru and plundered its treasures, and established colonies in what are now Hispanic Argentine America. They also established a colony in the Philippines. I do not yet have details of the early 16th century, the early mid 16th century, the mid 16th century, the late-mid 16th century, or the late 16th century. In the 17th Century the Spanish were among the prominent powers of Europe due to their colonial empire in the New World, Africa, and Asia. Hispanic Mexican American peoples including Mexico were significant. Hispanic Colombian American peoples were significant. Hispanic Peruvian American peoples were significant. Hispanic Argentine American peoples were significant. I lack details of the early 17th century, early-mid 17th century, mid 17th century, late-mid 17th century, or late 17th century. In the 18th century the Spanish empire led by Spain began to decline in influence. Buenos Aires grew as a city. Among Hispanic American peoples, Mexico including Mexico city remained a Spanish colony. Los Angeles was founded. Among Hispanic Colombian peoples, Colombia was a Spanish colony. Hispanic Peruvian American peoples can ge folowed. Hispanic Argentine American peoples can also be considered. I do not yet have details for the early 18th century, early mid 18th century, mid 18th century, or late-mid 18th century.
Peru became independent. Buenos Aires can be considered. Spain lost most of its colonial empire. Among Hispanic Mexican american peoples, Mexico including Mexico City and Los Angeles became independent. Among Hispanic Colombian American peoples, Colombia became independent. Among Hispanic Argentine American peoples, Argentina became independent. I do not yet have details of the early 19th century including the early 1800s, late 1800s, early 1810s, or late 1810s. The early mid 19th century including the early 1820s, late 1820s, early 1830s, and late 1830s can be connected.
