There are at present no major historical events associated with the Caribbean peoples on this site.


History

Anglo-American history can be connected to Classical and medieval history, particularly the late medieval period.

 

Modern history

The vast majority of the history of Anglo-American peoples is found in the modern period. It begins with events that are fairly minor within general british history, in the 16th century including the early 16th century, early mid 16th century, mid 16th century, late mid 16th century, and late 16th century. The 17th century including the early 17th century, early mid 17th century, mid 17th century, late mid 17th century, and late 17th century is important. Developments in the 18th century including the early 18th century, early mid 18th century, mid 18th century, late mid 18th century, and late 18th century were beginning to be more significant.

Much of their growth took place in the 19th century. The early 19th century can be connected. The early mid 19th century including the early 1820s, late 1820s, early 1830s, and late 1830s can be connected. The mid 19th century including the early 1840s, late 1840s, early 1850s, and late 1850s can be connected. In the late-mid 19th century including the early 1860s, late 1860s, early 1870s, late 1870s, following the American civil war attention focused on develoment of the western region. In the late 19th century including the early 1880s, late 1880s, early 1890s, and late 1890s, North Americans began to become increasingly prominent.

20th century

In the early 20th century including the early 1900s, late 1900s, early 1910s, and late 1910s they were involved in World War I. In the early-mid 20th century they had significant social change and were associated with the great depression. The early 1920s, late 1920s, early 1930s, and late 1930s can be connected. In the mid 20th century they participated in World war II. The early 1940s, late 1940s, early 1950s, and late 1950s can be connected. In the late-mid 20th century went through the Cold War and further social change. I do not yet have details for the early 1960s, late 1960s, early 1970s, or late 1970s. In the late 20th century were also involved in various international affairs. Details are being examined for the early 1980s, late 1980s, early 1990s, and late 1990s.

Early 21st century

Recent events are noted for the early 2000s, including 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005.

The late 2000s and analysis of Anglo-American events of 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009 will require more than those of the United States that are currently being examined. 2010 including the first quarter 2010, second quarter 2010, and third quarter 2010 can be connected. The fourth quarter 2010 including October 2010, November 2010, and December 2010 can be connected.

The early 2010s can be connected. 2011 can be connected. The first quarter 2011 can be connected.

January 2011 including 2011 week 1, 2011 week 2, 2011 week 3, 2011 week 4, 2011 week 5, and 2011 week 6 can be connected.

Hispanic Colombian American peoples such as those of Colombia can be connected. Lusitanic peoples including those of Brazil can be connected. Italic peoples such as those of Italy can be connected. Germanic peoples including those of Germany can be connected. Northeast Europeans such as those of Ukraine are rather less significant. Russia can be connected.

American Indian peoples are especially prominent. Argentina can be connected. North American Indian peoples including those of the United States can be connected. Middle American Indian peoples including those of Mexico can be connected. Southwestern American Indian people such as those of the southwestern United States can be connected. South American Indian peoples such as those of Colombia can be connected. Amazonian peoples including those of Brazil can be connected.

Asiatic peoples including those of Morocco can be connected. Oriental peoples including South Korea have been highly significant. China can be connected. Japan can be connected. Southeast Asian peoples such as those of Burma can be connected. Peoples of the Southeast Asian Archipelagoes including the Philippines can be connected. Indonesia can be connected. Mainland Southeast Asian peoples including those of Thailand can be connected. Vietnam can be connected. South Asian peoples including those of India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh are less directly significant. There is some influence from the Middle east including Iran. Turkey can be connected. Egypt can be connected. Central Asian peoples might be connected.

African peoples such as those of Kenya can be connected. Western African peoples such as those of Nigeria can be connected. Eastern African peoples including those of Tanzania can be connected. Northern East African peoples such as those of Ethiopia can be connected. Interior East African peoples such as those of Sudan can be connected. Central African peoples such as those of Congo DR can be connected. Southern African peoples such as those of South Africa can be connected.

Communities

So far, the only Anglo-American community included is New York City. Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Washington DC, Dallas, Philadelphia, Houston, Atlanta, Detroit, Boston, Toronto, and Miami can be connected.

General remarks on the relationships of social structure and change including social structure will be included as the site develops. Social changes including social change factors and processes will also be considered. Particular changes and movements including the agricultural revolution, agrarian revolution, and industrial revolution can be connected. The industrial revolution including the early industrial revolution, middle industrial revolution, and late industrial revolution can be connected. Social types including industrial society, agrarian society, horticultural society, and hunting and gathering society can be connected.

Institutions

Religion is useful. Religious belief, practice, and organization can be considered. The prominent religious tradition is Abrahamic religion, including Judaism, and Islam, Christianity including Catholicism, Protestantism, Orthodoxy, and Mormonism can be connected. There is a strong element of secularism. Pagan religion and Asiatic religion are also present.

Government will also be examined. Their Law is mostly derived from British common law. The government activities can be described, Government structure has also been examined, particular governments including local, national, and international governments can also be examined.

Economics including industries, economic activities, economic systems, and companies will be examined in more detail as the site develops.

Education including schools, educational organization, cultural institutions, teaching, and research can be connected. Families including particular families, kinship, parenting, and marriage can be connected.

Culture, including connections of material culture will be discussed as the site develops further., conceptual culture, including language, graphic arts, literature, mathematics, applied science, and philosophy, and behavioral culture, will also be discussed.

The connection of anthropology to American peoples will be included as the site develops. Social psychology, demography, human geography, physical anthropology, human ecology, and particular groups will be important.

In application of personal studies, studies of the human body and psychology are less useful than biography.
