Hunting and gathering societies, horticultural societies, agrarian societies, and industrial societies can all be examined from a historical perspective.
In early prehistory, only hunting and gathering types were known. I do not yet have details of Pliocene, early Pleistocene, early mid Pleistocene, late mid Pleistocene, or late Pleistocene times. In middle prehistory, most societies were hunting and gathering types, but the beginnings of horticultural societies can be seen. I do not yet have details of the 5th decamillennium BP, the 4th decamillennium BP, the 3rd decamillennium BP, or the 2nd decamillennium BP. In late prehistory, horticultural societies began to develop. The early 8th millennium BC, late 8th millennium BC, early 7th millennium BC, late 7th millennium BC, early 6th millennium BC, and late 6th millennium BC can be connected.
