HistoryHunting and gathering societies have developed throughout history, although slowly. Most people in prehistory including early prehistory, middle prehistory, and late prehistory had this type of society. In antiquity, more peoples increasingly shifted to other types through the 5th millennium BC, the 4th millennium BC, the 3rd millennium BC, and the early 1st millennium BC. This shift continued in classical and medieval times including early classical, late classical, early medieval, and late medival times, yet more shifted. |
