Horticultural society

There are various categories of horticultural society that may be examined. This refers to the economic base of an entire group of peoples or tribes. This section does not refer to the modern social groups organized around an interest in horticulture.

This is not clearly subdivided yet. Neolithic peoples are one major subcategory. Nomadic societies form another.


History

Prehistory may be useful in examining this type of society. Early prehistory and middle prehistory seem to have limited use, but late prehistory can possibly be examined. Antiquity including the 5th millennium BC, 4th millennium BC, 3rd millennium BC, 2nd millennium BC, and early 1st millennium BC. will be useful in examining this type of society. In classical and medieval times, including the early classical, late classical, early medieval, and late medieval period, these societies were increasingly conquered and absorbed by agrarian societies.

In the 16th Century they were increasingly absorbed and transformed.
