Sociology applied to Peoples of the World

Peoples of the world depend heavily on other areas of sociology, including communities and social structure and change.

   

Sociology

Although communities and social structure and change are applied to individual nations, I have not connected them directly to the nations list. Instead, they are applied to Western Civilization, Asiatic peoples, African peoples, and American Indian peoples.

Communities

To avoid simply copying the list of nations, these will be assigned to the particular nations they belong to, and to Western Civilization, Asiatic peoples, African peoples, American Indian peoples, or in some cases more than one of these as needed. Cities that have not yet been assigned include:

Social structure and change

This can be applied more particularly to Western Civilization, Asiatic peoples, African peoples, and American Indian peoples.

Social change

Social change is essential to the study of peoples and can be applied to Western Civilization, Asiatic peoples, African peoples, and American Indian peoples.

Particular changes

Western Civilization, Asiatic peoples, African peoples, and American Indian peoples can be connected.

The Agricultural revolution seems to have begun with Asiatic peoples and spread to European peoples. It may have had independent origins in Africa and among American Indian peoples.

The Agrarian revolution also seems to have originated with Asiatic peoples and spread to European peoples. African peoples and American Indian peoples may have had independent developments. Bronze age movements can be identified in Western civilization and Asiatic peoples. Their application to African and American Indian peoples is less clear. Early iron age movements can be identified in Western civilization and among Asiatic peoples. Their application to African peoples and American Indian peoples is less clear. Late iron age movements can be identified in Western civilization and among Asiatic peoples. Their application to African peoples and American Indian peoples is less clear. Modernization can be followed in Western civilization and Asiatic peoples. Its application to African peoples and American Indian peoples is less clear.

The Industrial revolution has been most influential in Western Civilization. It has had a lesser extent among Asiatic peoples, less among African peoples, and even less among American Indian peoples. Effects of the early industrial revolution have been present in Western Civilization, a little less among Asiatic peoples, less among African peoples, and least among American Indian peoples. The middle industrial revolution has been present in Western civilization, somewhat less among Asiatic peoples, less among African peoples, and least among American Indian peoples. The late industrial revolution has most influenced Western Civilization, but also has effects among Asiatic peoples, African peoples, and American Indian peoples.

Social change factors can be applied to Western Civilization, Asiatic peoples, African peoples, and American Indian peoples. Institutional change can be connected. Cultural change can be connected. Demographic change can be connected. Natural change can be connected.

Social change processes

Social change processes can be applied to Western Civilization, Asiatic peoples, African peoples, and American Indian peoples. Innovation can be applied to Western Civilization, Asiatic peoples, African peoples, and American Indian peoples. Transmission can be applied to Western Civilization, Asiatic peoples, African peoples, and American Indian peoples. Adaptation can be applied to Western Civilization, Asiatic peoples, African peoples, and American Indian peoples. Extinction can be applied to Western civilization, Asiatic peoples, African peoples, and American Indian peoples.

Social types

Social types can be applied to particular nations and to peoples including Western Civilization, Asiatic peoples, African peoples, and American Indian peoples.

Industrial societies are most applicable to Western Civilization, less so to Asiatic peoples, and even less to African peoples and American Indian peoples. Late industrial society, middle industrial society, and early industrial society can be connected. Agrarian society was more applicable to Western Civilization in earlier times than today. It is still applicable to Asiatic peoples, some African peoples, and a few american Indian peoples. Early modern society, late Iron age society, early iron age society, and Bronze age society can be connected. Horticultural society has been important in Western Civilization, Asiatic peoples, African peoples, and American Indian peoples. Hunting and gathering society has been important in Western Civilization, Asiatic peoples, African peoples, and American Indian peoples.

Community and regional structure can be used to help describe nations and Western Civilization, Asiatic peoples, African peoples, and American Indian peoples. Class structure can be used to help describe nations and Western Civilization, Asiatic peoples, African peoples, and American Indian peoples. Institutional structure can be used to help describe nations and Western Civilization, Asiatic peoples, African peoples, and American Indian peoples. Cultural structure can be used to help describe nations and Western Civilization, Asiatic peoples, African peoples, and American Indian peoples.
