Spain is one of the 30 most populous countries in the world. History Little is known of Spain during prehistory or antiquity. Its recorded history began approximately during classical and medieval times, with the Roman empire and subsequent developments. It establshed a vast overseas empire in early modern times, which has since declined but left and important historical lgegacy. Prehistory Early prehistory including the Pleiocene, early Pleistocene, early mid Pleistocene, late mid Pleistocene, and late Pleistocen can be connected. I have little information on middle prehistory except that certain cave paintings date to this period.
