Australia occupies a continent between the Indian and Pacific Oceans.

History

It was first settled in prehistory, although I know next to nothing of early prehistory. Middle prehistory including the period beginning 50,000 years ago, the period beginning 40,000 years ago, the period beginning 30,000 years ago, and the period beginning 20,000 years ago can be connected. Late prehistory including the early 8th millennium BC, late 8th millennium BC, early 7th millennium BC, late 7th millennium BC, early 6th millennium BC, and late 6th millennium BC can be connected.

Antiquity

The 5th millennium BC including the early 5th millennium BC, the early mid 5th millennium BC, the mid 5th millennium BC, the late mid 5th millennium BC, and the late 5th millennium BC can be connected. The 4th millennium BC including the early 4th millennium BC, the early mid 4th millennium BC, the mid 4th millennium BC, the late mid 4th millennium BC, and the late 4th millennium BC can be connected. The 3rd millennium BC including the early 3rd millennium BC, early mid 3rd millennium BC, mid 3rd millennium BC, late mid 4rd millennium BC, and late 3rd millennium BC can be connected.

I do not yet have details of the 2nd millennium BC including the early 2nd millennium BC, the early mid 2nd millennium BC, the mid 2nd millennium BC, the late mid 2nd millennium BC, or the late 2nd millennium BC. I do not yet have details of the early 1st millennium BC including the 10th century BC, the 9th century BC, the 8th century BC, the 7th century BC, or the 6th century BC.

Classical and medieval history

The early classical period including the 5th century BC, 4th century BC, 3rd century BC, 2nd century BC, and early 1st century BC can be connected. I have no details of late classical times including the 1st century CE, 2nd century CE, 3rd century CE, 4th century CE, or 5th century CE. I know nothing of early medieval periods including the 6th century CE, 7th century CE, 8th century CE, 9th century CE, or 10th century CE. Little is known of the late medieval period including the 11th century CE, 12th century CE, 13th century CE, 14th century CE, or 15th century CE.

Modern history

Little is known of it in the 16th century including the early 16th century, early mid 16th century, mid 16th century, late 16th century, or late 16th century. It was first sighted by European explorers in the 17th century, although I do not yet have details for the early 17th century, early mid 17th century, late-mid 17th century, or late 17th century. It began to enter world affairs in the 18th century. Developments of the early 18th century, early mid 18th century, and mid 18th century are obscure. During the late-mid 18th century, it was claimed for Great Britian by James Cook in 1770. In the late 18th century, beginning in 1778, the first settlements including a penal colony were established. In the 19th century, it was extensively colonized by the British. Developments of the early 19th century, early mid 19th century, mid 19th century, late mid 19th century, and late 19th century can be considered.

It developed further in the 20th century. In the early 20th century, it became a self-governing Dominion. In the early-mid 20th century its capital was moved from Canberra to Melbourne. In the mid 20th century, it formally acceped independence, and allied with the US in fear of Japanese invasion in World War II. Australia adopted an immigration policy. During the late-mid 20th century, it has been allied largely with the UK and US although I do not yet have many details for the early 1960s, late 1960s, early 1970s, or late 1970s. Events in the late 20th century including the early 1980s, late 1980s, early 1990s, and late 1990s are not yet discussed.

The early 21st century is being investigated. The early 2000s including 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005 can be connected.

Closest attention is being given to recent and current events of the late 2000s including 2006. Events of 2007 including those in the first quarter, second quarter, and third quarter can be considered. Events of the fourth quarter including those of October, November, and December are the most recent. Events of 2008 during the first quater, second quarter, third quarter, and 4th quarter have not yet been detailed. Events of 2009 in the first quarter 2009, second quarter 2009, and third quarter 2009 have also not yet been detailed. The fourth quarter 2009 including events of October 2009, November 2009, and December 2009 can be connected.

Events of 2010 can be connected. Events of the first quarter 2010 including January 2010, February 2010, and March 2010 can be connected. Events of the second quarter 2010 can also be connected. The third quarter 2010 can be connected. The fourth quarter 2010 including October 2010 and November 2010 can be connected. Peoples of the world

Other nations such as Iran, Thailand, France, Italy, the UK, South Korea, Burma, Ukraine, Colombia, South Africa, Argentina, Sudan, Spain, Tanzania, Poland, Kenya, Morocco, Algeria Canada, Afghanistan, Uganda, and Nepal can be connected.

Generally speaking, the nation is considered to belong to Western civilization along with nations including Germany. In particular, it is connected to other Anglic peoples such as those of the United States. It is less directly connected to Latin peoples such as those of Mexico. Lusitanic peoples such as those of Brazil seem to be weakly connected. Connections with Northeast European peoples including Russia seem to be fairly weak.

There are strong connections with Asiatic peoples including those of Turkey. The Australian aborigines are classed in particular with Southeast Asian and Oceanic peoples, which also include those of Vietnam. Peoples of the Southeast Asian Archipelagoes such as Indonesia and the Philippines are connected. Oriental peoples including those of China and Japan can be considered. South Asian peoples including those of India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan can be connected. Middle Eastern peoples such as those of Egypt can be connected.

Connections with African peoples including those of Congo (DR) are obscure. East African peoples such as those of Ethiopia can be connected. West African peoples such as those of Nigeria can be connected.

American Indian peoples such as are found in Mexico are obscure. South American Indian peoples such as those of Brazil can be connected. Middle American Indian peoples such as those of the southwestern United States can be connected. North American Indians including those found in the United States can be considered.

Communities can be connected.

Social change including particular changes and movements, processes of change, and factors of change can be connected. Social types including hunting and gathering society, horticultural society, agrarian society, and industrial society can be connected. Social structure including community and regional structure, class structure, institutional structure, cultural structure, and anthropological structure can be connected.

Religion including religious organization, religious practice, and religious belief can be connected. Particular religions including Abrahamic religion, pagan religion, Asiatic religion, and secularism can be connected.

Government including particular governments, government activities, government structure, and law can be connected.
