AntiquityIn the 5th millennium BC most of the inhabitans of what is Algeria had a Neolithic culture. I do not have further details of the early 5th millennium BC, the early mid 5th millennium BC, the mid 5th millennium BC, the late mid 5th millennium BC, or the late 5th millennium BC can be considered. In the 4th millennium BC, Neolithic culture predominated. I do not yet have further details of the early 4th millennium BC, the early mid 4th millennium BC, the mid 4th millennium BC, the late mid 4th millennium BC, and the late 4th millennium BC can be connected. In the 3rd millennium BC while much of the rest of the Middle East was deveoping Bronze age culture, the peoples of Algeria remained primarily Neolithic. In late classical times it was part of the Roman Empire, although I do not yet have details of the 1st century CE, the 2nd century CE, the 3rd century CE, the 4th century CE, or the 5th century CE. In early medieval times, it seems to have been invaded by Germanic peoples until it came under Islamic rule. I do not yet have details of the 6th century CE, 7th century CE, 8th century CE, 9th century CE, or 10th century CE. In late medieval times it was under Islamic rule, although I do not yet have details of the 11th century CE, 12th century CE, 13th century CE, 14th century CE, or 15th century CE. By the 18th century, Ottoman control was only nominal. It was part of the Barbary states.
