Algeria

Algeria is one of the 40 most populous countries in the world.

History

So far, little if anything is known of its prehistory inlcuding early prehistory, middle prehistory, or late prehistory. I also do not know a great deal about it in antiquity. Events of the 5th millennium BC, 4th millennium BC, 3rd millennium BC, 2nd millennium BC, and early first millennium BC can be considered. It was important in classical and medieval times. In early classical times, it was ruled by Carthage and Rome, and in late classical times was part of the Roman Empire. In early medieval times, it seems to have been invated by Germanic peoples until it came under Islamic rule. In late medieval times it was under Islamic rule.

In modern times it has come increasingly to attention. In the 16th and 17th centuries, it was part of the Ottoman empire, By the 18th century, Ottoman control was only nominal. It was part of the Barbary stakes. I do not yet have details of the early 18th century, early mid 18th cnetury, mid 18th century, late-mid 18th century, or late 19th century. In the 19th century following the Napoleonic wars, it was invaded and occupied by France. I do not yet have further details of the early 19th century, early-mid 19th century, mid 19th century, or late 19th century. It regained its independence in the 20th century. Details of the early 20th century, early mid 20th century, mid 20th century, and late-mid 20th century have not yet been examined. The late 20th century including the early 1980s, late 1980s, early 1990s, and late 1990s can be considered. The early 21st century has not yet been closely examined. The early 2000s including 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005 can be considered. The late 2000s including 2006 and 2007 and the 1st quarter, 2nd quarter, and 3rd quarter down to July, August, and September can be examined. The 4th quarter including October, November, and December can also be examined. Its future is obscure.

Connections with peoples of the world including other nations, Asiatic peoples, Middle Eastern peoples, Western civilization, African peoples, and American Indian peoples will be considered as the site develops. Connections of communities and social structure and change will be included as the site develops.
