History

Prehistory

Early prehistory is entirely obscure. Parts of it are believed to have been inhabited by Ice age hunters in middle prehistory. I do not yet have details for the period beginning 50,000 years ago, the period beginning 40,000 years ago, the period beginning 30,000 years ago, or the period beginning 20,000 years ago. For late prehistory I have no information about the early 8th millennium BC, the late 8th millennium BC, the early 7th millennium BC, the late 7th millennium BC, the early 6th millennium BC, or the late 6th millennium BC.

Antiquity

At present, I have no information at all about events of the 5th Millennium BC including the early 5th millennium BC, the early mid 5th millennium BC, the mid 5th millennium BC, the late mid 5th millennium BC, or the late 5th millennium BC. I have no details of the 4th Millennium BC including the early 4th millennium BC, early mid 4th millennium BC, mid 4th millennium BC, late mid 4th millennium BC, or the late 4th millennium BC. In the 3rd Millennium BC, speakers of the Indo-European family of languages may have inhabited this region. I do not yet have details of the early 3rd millennium BC, the early mid 3rd millennium BC, the mid 3rd millennium BC, the late mid 3rd millennium BC, or the late 3rd millennium BC. I have no further information on the 2nd Millennium BC, except that they seem to have spread both east and west from their original homelands. I do not have details of the early 2nd millennium BC, the early mid 2nd millennium BC, the mid 2nd millennium BC, the late mid 2nd millennium BC, or the late 2nd millennium BC. In the early first millennium BC, the nomadic Cimmerians and Scythians may have inhabited the region. I do not yet have details for the 10th century CE, the 9th century CE, the 8th century CE, the 7th century CE, or the 6th century CE.

Classical and medieval history

Few if any records are available for early classical times including the 5th century BC, the 4th century BC, the 3rd century BC, the 2nd century BC, or the first century BC. Late classical times are also unknown, and I have no details for the 1st century CE, the 2nd century CE, the 3rd century CE, the 4th century CE, or the 5th century CE. I do not have many details for the early medieval period I do not have many details. I do not have specific detail of the 6th century CE, the 7th century CE, or the 8th century CE. In the 9th century CE, according to the earliest Russian Chronicle, Ruric was elected ruler of Novgorod. In the 10th century his successors moved their capital to Kiev. Eastern Orthodoxy was adopted as the state religion (in preference to Islam).

In late medieval times, the Kievan state delined. In the 11th century, it was allied with Europe, but beset by Poles and Hungarians on the west, and invaders from Central Asia including the Cumans on the east. In the 12th century, it was still beset by Cumans. In the 13th century, it fell to the Mongols in 1240, which then governed Russia as the Khanate of the Golden Horde. In the 14th century, Moscow was growing in influence under the rule of the Mongols, or Tatars, and began to win a few battles. In the 15th century, it continued to resist Tatar rule, and in 1480, regained its independence.

Modern history

The 16th century, 17th century, 18th century, 19th century, and 20th century can be considered.

Future

Its future has not yet been closely examined. Some events of the near future including next month, next quarter, and next year can be projected. The middle future including the next 5 years, next 20 years, next century, and next 5 centuries can be connected. The far future including the next 2 millennia, next 10,000 years, next 50,000 years, next 200,000 years, next million years, and beyond the next million years is obscure.
