Areas of science will be connected as the site develops. Physics, chemistry, and astronomy are generally not directly useful. Earth science is also valuable, as is physical geography. Anthropology is closely tied to communities and cities. The physical location and environment of cities is a matter of human geography. European geography is the location for some cities, Asian geography for others, Southwest Asia for a few. North American geography will be highly useful. Human ecology, including the influence of the environment on people and people on the environment is also significant. Particular groups may be helpful. Culture is also highly significant. Material culture including foodstuffs and clothing is fairly incidental. Buildings and transportation networks are highly significant. Communications, tools, and other artifacts are less visible. Conceptual culture, further including language, graphics, literature and literary works, mathematics, and applied science will also be further considered. Philosophy including metaphysics, aesthetics, ethics, epistemology, and particular schools and doctrines will also be further considered. Behavioral culture such as customs, occupations, performing arts, and sports and games will also be significant. Cultural events are also important. The institutions of a community form much of its structure. These can often be identified by community architecture. These institutions include families. Education including teaching, research, cultural institutions, educational organization, and particular schools witll be signficant. Economics including industries, activity, economic systems, and companies will also be useful. Government including law, government activity and structure, and particular governments are all significant. Religion is also vital. Religious beliefs, practice, organization, and particular religious traditions can often be identified. Abrahamic, asiatic, Secular and pagan religions predominate in different communities. Connections to social structure and change will also be included. Social structure including anthropological structure, cultural structure, institutional structure, class structure, and regional and geographic structure will be useful. Social types including hunting and gathering, horticultural, agricultural, and industrial societies are also useful. Social changes including factors, processes, and particular changes will also be useful. The list of communities may be searched by peoples of the world. Within these groupings, a few nations have been connected to cities in them.Asiatic peoples including Middle Eastern peoples including North African peoples are also important. South Asian peoples including India have a number of prominet cities. Oriental peoples including China, Japan, and Korea have some of the world's largest cities. Southeast Asian peoples such as those of Indonesia also have a number of large and prominent cities. Central Asian cities are generally much smaller. Western civilization including Anglic peoples such as the United States, latin peoples including Brazil and Mexico, Northeast European peoples, and Germanic peoples, is one grouping. African peoples and American Indian peoples have fewer and smaller cities. History of communities will be examined as the site develops. However, history does not provide convient method of searching the list of communities. Some few can be traced to prehistory, others to antiquity. Those on this list have so far been followed to classical and medieval times, including early medieval and late medieval, down to the 11th century, 12th century, 13th century, 14th century, and 15th century. Some are modern and can be followed through the 16th century including the early 16th century, early mid 16th century, mid 16th century, late-mid 16th century, and late 16th century. There are some connected to the 17th century including the early 17th century, early mid 17th century, mid 17th century, late-mid 17th century, and late 17th century. In the 18th century including the early 18th century, early mid 18th century, mid 18th century, late-mid 18th century, and late 18th century, communities devloped significantly. In the 19th century, communities contined to develop and some can be described for the early 19th century, early mid 19th century, mid 19th century, late mid 19th century, and late 19th century, and 20th century, including the early 20th century, early mid 20th century down to the early 1920s, late 1920s, early 1930s, and late 1930s. The mid 20th century including the early 1940s, late 1940s, early 1950s, and late 1950s is weakly connected. The late-mid 20th century including the early 1960s, late 1960s, early 1970s, and late 1970s can be considered. The late 20th century including the early 1980s, late 1980s and early 1990s can also be considered. The late 1990s including 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, and 2000 are also important. The early 21st century including the early 2000s in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005 including the first quarter, second quarter, third quarter, and fourth quarter can be connected. The late 2000s including communities of 2006 including the 1st quarter, 2nd quarter, with 3rd quarter and 4th quarter. 2007 including the first quarter, second quarter, third quarter with July, August, and September and fourth quarter with October, Novermber, and December can be connected. 2008 including the first quarter with January, February, and March, second quarter with April, May, and June, the third quarter with July, August,September, and the fourth quarter with October and November is also important. The future of communities is not yet well examined. The near future including next month with November and December, next quarter with January, February, and March, and next year including the second quarter, third quarter, and fourth wuarter, the middle future, and far future can be considered. |
