Taipei is the largest city of Taiwan and is one of the 60 largest in the world. Its history will be examined as the site develops. I have little information on it for prehistory, antiquity, or classical and medieval times. It began to become significant in modern times. It is considered to have been founded in the 18th century. In the early 18th century, (1709) Chinese began settling the area, and grew during the early-mid 18th century, mid 18th century, early mid 18th century, late-mid 18th century, and late 18th century.
