Saigon

Saigon, also called Ho Chi Minh City, is a major city in Vietnam.

Its history will be examined as the site develops. I do not yet know much of it in prehistory or antiquity, or in classical and medieval times. It is best known from modern times, although I do not yet have details of the 16th century. It was once a village of the Khmer people known as Prey Nokor. In the 17th century, Vitenamese immigrants began to settle there and called the place Saigon. I do not yet have details of the early 17th century, early mid 17th century, mid 17th century, late mid 17th century, and late 17th century. The 18th century including the early 18th century, early mid 18th century, mid 18th century, late mid 18th century, and late 18th century can be connected.
