Paris

Paris is the largest city of France and is one of the 30 largest in the world.

History

Classical and medieval history

In early classical times, the Romans founded a settlement at the site in the 1st century BC. (Between 52 and 1 BC). Paris continued to grow and become important through late classical times, although I do not yet have details of the 1st century CE, 2nd century CE, 3rd century CE, 4th century CE, or 5th century CE. I do not yet have details of early medieval times including the 6th century CE, the 7th century CE, the 8th century CE, the 9th century CE, or the 10th century CE. I do not yet have details of late medieval times including the 11th century CE, 12th century CE, 13th century CE, 14th century CE, or 15th century CE,

Modern history

In the 16th century it was the site of religious wafare between Catholics and Protestants. I do not yet have details of the early 16th century, early mid 16th century, mid 16th century, late mid 16th century, or late 16th century. In the 17th century, numeous public works were built. I do not yet have details of the early 17th century, early mid 17th century, mid 17th century, late mid 17th century, or late 17th century. In the 18th century, public works continued, but it became the site of much political intrigue, and the French Revolution began in Paris. I do not yet have many details for the early 18th century, early mid 18th century, mid 18th century, late-mid 18th century, or late 18th century. In the 19th century, it remained an important European capital, although I do not yet have details for the early 19th century, early mid 19th century, mid 19th century, late-mid 19th century, or late 19th century.

Attention is given to the 20th century. Details of the early 20th century, early-mid 20th century, mid 20th century, and late-mid 20th century are so far lacking. The late 20th century including the early 1980s, late 1980s, early 1990s, and late 1990s can be connected.

Recent events of the early 21st century including the early 2000s can be examined. Events of the late 2000s including 2006 can be considered. Events of 2007 including those of the first quarter, second quarter, third quarter, and fourth quarter can be examined. I do not yet have details for 2008. Events of 2009 including those of the first quarter 2009, second quarter 2009, third quarter 2009, and fourth quarter 2009 can be connected. Events of 2010 can be considered. The early 2010s can be connected. 2011 can be connected. The first quarter 2011 can be connected. January 2011 including 2011 week 1, 2011 week 2, 2011 week 3, 2011 week 4, 2011 week 5, and 2011 week 6 can be connected. February 2011, and March 2011 can be connected. The second quarter 2011 and third quarter 2011 can be connected. Its future is obscure.

Other Sociology

Connections to various peoples will be considered as the site develops. Various nations can possibly be connected. This belongs to Western civilization, in particular to Latin peoples and French peoples, particularly France. Connections to other cities are not yet clear. Connections to social structure and change including social change, social types, and social strucure will be considered.

The institutions of families, education, economics, government, and religion will also be significant.

Paris has been a major center of culture including material culture, conceptual culture, and behavioral culture.

Anthropology including social foundations, demography, physical anthropology, human ecology, human geography, and particular groups will be useful. Personal studies including biography, psychology, and the human body can be connected. Science including biology, earth science, astronomy, chemistry, and physics can be connected.
