Madras

Madras (also and more recently called Chennai) is one of the largest cities of India and is one of the 40 largest in the world.

History

Its history is entirely modern. It is considered to have been founded in the 17th century. This was specifically in the early mid 17th century, in 1639, by an English trader representing the East India Company. I do not yet have details of the mid 17th century, late mid 17th century, or late 17th century. Details of the 18th century including the early 18th century, early mid 19th century, mid 19th century, late-mid 18th century, and late 18th century are not yet included. I do not yet have details of the 19th century, including those of the early 19th century, early mid 19th century, mid 19th century, late-mid 19th century, and late 19th century.

The city has developed through the 20th century, although details of the early 20th century, early-mid 20th century, mid 20th century, and late-mid 20th century are also obscure. The late 20th century including the early 1980s, late 1980s, early 1990s, and late 1990s can be connected.

Emphasis is being given to the early 21st century including the early 2000s and late 2000s. Events of 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010 can be considered.
