Hong Kong is one of the largest cities of Cnina and is one of the 60 largest in the world. Its history will be examined as the site develops. Little of it is known in prehistory or antiquity. Written records referring to it appear in classical and medieval times, but I do not yet have details of early classical, late classical, early medieval, or late medieval times. In modern times it has become an important city. Details of the 16th century, and 17th century have not been examined here.
