Chittagong is a major city of Bangladesh. History The history of Chittagong is somewhat obscure. It dates at least back to classical and medieval times with records of it appearing in early medieval times (the 9th century CE) and late medieval times. It has become more prominent in modern times. I do not yet have details of the 16th century, 17th century, 18th century, or 19th century. The 20th century including the early 20th century, early mid 20th century, mid 20th century, late mid 20th century, late 20th century, and early 21st century can be connected.
