Bombay, also and more recentaly called Mumbai is the largest city of India, though not the capital. It is one of the 10 largest in the world. Its history will be examined as the site develops. I know little of it in prehistory, or antiquity. In classical and medieval times, I lack information on early classical, late classical, or early medieval times, though an Indian city existed in late medieval times. I do not yet have details of the 11th century, 12th century, 13th century, 15th century, or 15th century. |
