Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad is a city of India.

History

Ahmedabad is believed to have been founded sometime in classical and medieval times. In late medieval times, around the 11th century, it was known as Ashaval. I do not yet have details of the 12th century CE, 13th century CE, 14th century CE. In the 15th century CE, in 1411, it was made the capital of the Muslim Muzaffarid dynasty by Ahmed Shah, and renamed for him.
