February 2011

Among Asiatic peoples, there was considerable unrest and anti-government protesting in the Middle East. There was some activity among South Asian peoples. There were some political events in India, but so far nothing stands out. Oriental peoples and Southeast Asian peoples have some events, but so far few events stand out.

2011 week 6 there were various events among South Asian peoples. A few are reported for India and a few for Pakistan. Oriental people have various events. In China, various in February were more notable than those earlier in the week. Southeast Asian peoples have various events. In 2011 week 7 South Asian events can be connected. India announced that peace talks with Pakistan, which had been suspended for nearly three years, would resume. There were various political events in Pakistan. Oriental peoples have several events. A few events among Southeast Asian peoples can be considered. In 2011 week 8 there were few notable events among South Asian peoples, except that India proposed to reduce troops occupying the disputed region of Jammu and Kashimir. There were a few political events in Pakistan. There were few notable events among Oriental, or Southeast Asian peoples. In 2011 week 9 various protests and unrest in the Middle East continued. There were few notable events in South Asia, including India. Among Oriental peoples, China suppressed efforts to call for a "Jasmine Revolution" inspired by protests in the Middle East. There were few notable events among Southeast Asian peoples. In 2011 week 10 various protests in the Middle East continued. Events among South Asian peoples are not especially notable. Among Oriental peoples, there was some suppression of threatened unrest in China. Few events were reported among Southeast Asian peoples. .

March 2011

Relatively few events were noted among South Asian peoples. Among Oriental peoples there was a massive earthquake in Japan on March 11 which initiated a nuclear disaster at an electrical power plant.

In 2011 week 10 various protests in the Middle East continued. Events among South Asian peoples are not especially notable. Among Oriental peoples, there was some suppression of threatened unrest in China. Few events were reported among Southeast Asian peoples. In 2011 week 11 there were continuing events in the Middle East. Among South Asian peoples, India successfully conducted missile tests. Among Oriental peoples, there was a major earthquake in Japan. There were few notable events reported among Southeast Asian peoples. In 2011 week 12 among South Asian peoples, an airstrike in the war in Afghanistan killed civilians in Pakistan. Among Oriental peoples a nuclear disaster developed following last week's earthquake in Japan. There were few notable developments among Southeast Asian peoples. In 2011 week 13, continuing protests in the Middle East were notable. Only a few events among South Asian peoples are noted. Among Oriental peoples, the aftermath of the March 11 earthquake in Japan was notable. In 2011 week 14 among Asiatic peoples, including Middle Eastern protests appear in news reports. Only a few events were noted among South Asian peoples. Among Oriental peoples, the continuing aftermath of the earthquake in Japan appears in news reports.

April 2011

In2011 week 14 among Asiatic peoples, including Middle Eastern protests appear in news reports. Only a few events were noted among South Asian peoples.
