So far this will include information from the history of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.
I have limited information on India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.
In early prehistory, I have limited evidence of remains from this period from India, but none yet from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, or Sri Lanka. I do not yet have detailed information on the Pliocene, early Pleistocene, early mid Pleistocene, late mid Pleistocene, or late Pleistocene.
I also have limited evidence of the spread of modern humans in middle prehistory. I have no detailed information on early settlements in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, or Sri Lanka. The period beginning 50,000 years ago, the period beginning 40,000 years ago, the period beginning 30,000 years ago, and the period beginning 20,000 years ago can be connected.
Likewise, cultural development in late prehistory is difficult to follow, although neolithic settlements have been found in India. An important neolithic settlement in Pakistan dates to this period. I have no information on Bangladesh, Nepal, or Sri Lanka. The early 8th millennium BC, the late 8th millennium BC, the early 7th millennium BC, the late 7th millennium BC, the early 6th millennium BC, and the late 6th millennium BC can be connected.

I do not yet have details of the early 3rd millennium BC, the early mid 3rd millennium BC, the mid 3rd millennium BC, the late mid 3rd millennium BC, or the late 3rd millennium BC. In the 2nd millennium BC, the Harappan civilization had collapsed and Indo-European speaking (Aryan) invaders came to what is now India and Pakistan. I do not yet have details of the early 2nd millennium BC, the early mid 2nd millennium BC, the mid 2nd millennium BC, the late mid 2nd millennium BC, or late 2nd millennium BC. By the early 1st Millennium, there were efforts to include India in the Persian empire. Buddhism and Jainism may have originated in this period. In Pakistan, Iron age culture began to spread from Persia. I have little information from Bangladesh.
