I have little information on the prehistory of Southeast Asia, and antiquity is poorly explored. Most of its recorded history dates to classical and medieval times, and the Southeast asian Mainland and the Southeast Asian Archipelagoes can be considered. In modern times, the Southeast Asian mainland, the Southeast Asian archipelagoes, Australia, and Oceania are all known. The future of these peoples is obscure. |

Evidence from prehistory is scanty. So far, I have only considered Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Thailand.
For early prehistory, remains that are called Java man have been found in Indonesia, but I have no information on the Philippines or Vietnam.
Modern humans seem to have entered the area in middle prehistory, although I have no specific information on peoples such as those of Indonesia, the Philippines, or Vietnam. I do not yet have details of the period beginning 50,000 years ago, the period beginning 40,000 years ago, the period beginning 30,000 years ago, or the period beginning 20,000 years ago.
I have no information on their development in late prehistory. Information on Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam, for instance, is scanty. I do not yet have details of the early 8th millennium BC, late 8th millennium BC, early 7th millennium BC, late 7th millennium BC, early 6th millennium BC, or late 6th millennium BC.

Southeast Asian peoples came under more influence from both South Asia and the Orient. I have little information on mainland Southeast Asia. I also have no information on Vietnam. The first of the modern Thai kingdoms was founded. I also have no information on Burma. Among the Southeast Asian Archipelagoes, I have no more detailed information on Indonesia in this period. I have no information on the Philippines in this period, either. Jakarta flourished as a trading port. I do not yet have details of the 11th century, 12th century, 13th century, or 14th century. For the 15th century, Indonesia can be considered.
The Southeast Asian peoples came under at least partial rule by Western peoples. The peoples of Mainland Southeast Asia were somewhat less affected than the peoples of the Southeast Asian Archipelagoes. Australia was conquered and its people submerged in Western Civilization. I do not yet have many details for the 16th century, except that the period of Western exploration, colonization, and conquest began. There was also development in the 17th century. In the 18th century, Australia was settled. In the 19th century, European Colonialism was at its height. In the 20th century, Southeast Asian peoples largely regained their political indepeendence.
The future has not yet been examined. Indonesia with its city of Jakarta, the Philippines, and Vietnam, and the city of Manila can be considered. Events of the near future in Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam including next month in Indonesia, next quarter, and next year can be considered. The middle future incuding the next 5 years, next 20 years, next century, and next 5 centuries can be connected. The far future including the next 2 millennia, next 10,000 years, next 50,000 years, next 200,000 years, next million years, and beyond the next million years is obscure.
