History

The prehistory of Oriental peoples is somewhat obscure. They hve been examined to some extent in antiquity. During classical and medieval times, they developed extensive civilizations. During modern times, they have have interacted extensively with Western Civilization.

Nations that have been connected include [ Kazakhstan, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Malawi, Ecuador, Niger, Guatemala, Senegal, Angola, Zimbabwe, Mali, Zambia] Those that are particularly Oriental include:

Connections to Central asian peoples such as are found in China, Russia, and Uzbekistan are fairly strong.

Southeast Asian, such as those to Australia are also important. Mainland Southeast Asia including Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and Burma are fairly closely connected. Southeast Asian Archipelagoes including those of Indonesia and the Philippines can be considered.

Connections to South Asian peoples including those of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka are fairly weak but present.

These are still stronger than those to Middle eastern peoples such as Syria. Persian peoples including those of Iran and Afghanistan are possibly connected. Turkey is weakly connected. Arabian peoples such as those of Saudi Arabia and Yemen can be considered. Mesopotanian peoples such as those of Iraq do not seem to be strongly connected. Egypt is not well connected. North African peoples including those of Morocco and Algeria are weakly connected.

Among the best connections to Western civilization [recently including Australia Netherlands, Chile] are those to Anglic peoples. British peoples including the UK have been influential. Anglo-Americans including the United States and Canada, and Caribbean peoples have been influential. Anglo-Australians are also influential. Latin peoples including those of Venezuela have een connected. Italic peoples such as those of the Roman empire and modern Italy have been connected. French peoples such as those of France have been connected somewhat. Hispanic peoles such as those of Peru have had limited influence. Spain has had limited influence. Hispanic Mexican American peoples such as those of Mexico have had limited influence. Hispanic Colombian American peoples such as those of Colombia have had limited influence. Hispanic Argentine American peoples such as those of Argentina have had little influence. Lusitanic peoples such as those of Brazil have not yet been well connected. Northeast European peoples including those of Russia,Ukraine, and Poland are important, and Germanic peoples including Germany have also been influential. Balkan peoples including Romania and Scandinavian influences are less connected.

There are few connection to African peoples such as those of Cote d'Ivoire. Eastern African peoples including those of Ethiopia, Sudan, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, are weakly connected. Southern African peoples including those of South Africa, Mozambique, Madagascar are weakly connected. Central African peoples including those of Congo and Cameroon are weakly connected. Western African peoples including those of Nigeria Ghana are weakly connected.

American Indian peoples including those of the United States, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Canada, Peru, Venezuela, Chile are weakly and indirectly connected.

Communities not yet assigned to particular nations so far include:

Social structure and change will be important. Social structure including anthropological structure, cultural structure, institutional structure, and class structure will be useful. Social types including hunting and gathering, horticultural society, agrarian society, and industrial society will be useful.

Social change will also help. Factors of change including natural change, demographic change, cultural change, and institutional change can be considered. Processes incuding innovation, trnsmission, adaptation, and extinction can be considered. Particular changes including the agricultural revolution, agrarian revolution, and Industrial revolution can be considered. Selected and specific features of the Early industrial revolution, middle industrial revolution, and computerization have been incorporated in nations such as China.

Institutions

Religion

Beliefs and practices are not yet well examined. Organization in general tends to be unstructured rather than fragmented or highly organized. Particular traditions can be examined. Small amounts of Abrahamic religion including Judaism, and Islam is mixed in. Christianity including Catholicism, Protestantism, Orthodoxy, and Mormonism has not made much progress. Asiatic religion including Indian, Oriental, and Persian religion is far more prevalent. Pagan religion including Asian pagan, European Pagan, African pagan, American Indian pagan, and neopagan religion can be considered. Secularism is also present

Government

Law including Asiatic law, Western law, tribal law, and international law is important. Government structure including political parties and interest groups, judicial systems, legislative systems, executive systems, heads of state, and forms of government are important. Government activities including administration, succession, and state relations are important. Particular governments down to the level of local and national government are also important. International government including traditional empires, colonial empires, and modern compacts can be considered.

Economics

Economic activities including production, distribution and exchange, and consumption will be important. Industries with companies, agriculture, extraction and manufacturing, building and construction, social and medical, transportation, communication, and commercial and financial services can be considered. Economic systems including forms, networks, economic system types, and economic system behavior can be considered.

Education including research, teaching, cultural institutions, and educational organization, will be significant. Particular schools including primary, secondary, and higher education may be useful. Families including marriage, parenting, kinship, and particular families will be significant.

Culture

Behavioral culture will be important. Customs including vital customs, living and dwelling customs, dress and adornment customs, social instration customs, and institutional customs can be considered. Occupations including food related, building-related, transportation related, communication related, industrial, and service related occupations will be important. Recreation and entertainment including music, dance, theater, games, and sports can be considered. Cultural events including miscellenous events, gatherings, disasters, and holidays can be considered.

Conceptual culture, which includes language, graphic arts, literature, and mathematics is also significant. Applied science including measurement, engineering science, navigation, medical science, information and computing science, accounting, and applied social science can be connected. Philosophy including logic, metpahysics, epistemology, ethics, aesthetics, special topics, and schools and doctrines is also significant. Material culture including foodstuffs, clothing, buildings, transportation devices, communiction devices, tools and industrial technology, and other artifacts can be connected.

Anthropology

This includes social foundations such as social presentation, social interaction, social control, social groups, social group types. Demography including birth, migration, mortality, population size and structure, and population change, physical anthropology including human origins, racial variation, and human dispersion. Human ecology including the influence of the environment on people, other life, and the influence of people on the environment will be useful. This depends most heavily on human geography. Asian geography including East Asia, North Asia Southeast Asia, South Asia, Central Asia, and Southwest Asia is most useful, but Oceanic Geography, North American Geoography and South American, African, and European geography may also be connected. Particular groups will also be applied.

Personal studies

Studies of the human body including body systems, body function, life cycle, disease, and form and appearance are mostly indirectly useful. Psychology including applications of behavioral fundamentals, mind, behavioral patterns, developmental psychology, mental disorders, personality, and social psychology also seems to be mostly indirectly useful. Biography will be significant.

Science

There are indirect connections to physics and chemistry. Astronomy including solar system astronomy, stellar astronomy, galactic astronomy, and cosmology is better connected. Earth science including geology, hydrospheric science, atmospheric science, and physical geography can be considered. Geohistory including Precambrian, Paleozoic, Mesozoic, and Cenozoic geology can be considered.

Biology can also be used. Molecular biology, cell biology, and organism biology seem less useful. Systematics including microbes, protists, pants, fungi, and animals can be connected. Ecology including behavioral ecology, population ecology, community ecology, systems ecology, evolution, ecosystems, and biogreography will be useful. Biohistory is less useful for Precambrian, Paleozoic, and Mesozoic life than for Cenozoic life.
