Anatolian peoples are neighbors to Mesopotamian, Persian, Levantine, Egyptian, and North african peoples, and not far from the Arabian peoples. There are also close connections to Central Asia. Indian, Southeast asian, and Oriental peoples are farther away. There are also strong connections to Western civilization, but few directly to African or American Indian peoples. The only nation so far identified is Turkey

The history of Anatolian peoples from prehistory and antiquity can be considered. There was a break with antiquity in classical and medieval times. Modern history is significant. The 16th century, 17th century, 18th century, and 19th century are especially important. In the 20th century, the Ottoman empire failed and the modern nation of Turkey succeeded it.The future will be considered as the site develops.
