Landforms include features of the landscape. These are roughly classified by size. The various processes involved their formation and change are also included in this discussion. |

These are roughly classified by size or order.
The lowest order deals with rock formations and strata, on the order of size of kilometers and smaller.
The next order includes familiar features of the landscape, with sizes on the order of tens of kilometers.
A higher order includes mountain ranges, basins, and plateaus with sizes on the order of hundreds of kilometers.
The highest order includes continents and crustal plates

The connections of physics including mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, relativity, quantum theory, and the structure of matter to geological landforms and processes can be considered. The connections to chemistry, and astronomy to geological landforms and processes will be considered in more detail as the site develops. |

These studies depend heavily on mineralogy and petrology, and also plate tectonics and interior geology. Hydrospheric science, atmospheric science, physical geography, and geohistory are also involved. Biology also has connections. The connections and applications of personal studies, anthropology, culture, institutions, sociology, and history will also be developed. |
