Galactic Astronomy

Galactic astronomy include the study of galaxies. Galactic astrocartography, galactic classes, and intergalactic medium.

Galactic Astronomy

So far, this is not yet described in detail on this site.

This is connected first to areas of physics. It depends on advanced understanding of mechanics. Particle mechanics and rigid body mechanics are generally not sufficient. Nonrigid body mechanics is required. Gravitation is somewhat. Thermodynamics including statistical mechanics, classical thermodynamics, and nonclassical thermodynamics is also important. Electromagnetism is also important. Relativity theory is connected, and quantum mechanics is also. The structure of matter is also important.

Chemistry including chemical substances, chemical changes, and chemical systems is also vital in galactic astronomy. This is closely connected to cosmology, stellar astronomy, and solar system astronomy. Earth science including biology provides few applications.

Personal studies including the human body, psychology, and biography can be connected to this subject. Anthropology including social foundations, demography, physical anthropology, numan ecology, human geography, and particular groups may be useful. Culture including material culture, conceptual culture, and behavioral culture can be examined. Institutions including families, education, economics, government, and religion can be connected.

Sociology including social structure and change and communities can be connected. Peoples of the world including nations, Western Civilization, Asiatic peoples, African peoples, and American Indian peoples can be connected.

The history of this subject during classical and medieval times was indistuinguishable from stellar astronomy. It has been distinguisable from stellar astronomy only in modern times. It was little studied in the 16th, 17th, or 18th centuries. Its study began in the 19th, and 20th centuries. Its future has not yet been examined.
