Social Psychology

Social psychology has to do with the reactions of people to other people and their influence on other people. Divisions of this subject are not yet clear.

Thic includes subjects of social perception, self perception, attitudes and social cognition, social interaction and behavior, and social influence.


This is connected somewhat to physical and natural sciences. Physics, chemistry, astronomy, and earth science are all less directly connected than biology.

It is also connected to the human body. Other areas of psychology such as the nervous system, behavioral elements, mind, behavior patterns, developmental psychology, mental disorders, and personality are also important. Biography is also useful. Anthropology including social foundations, demography, physical anthropology, human ecology, human geography, and particular groups also affects this.

Culture including material culture, conceptual culture, and behavioral culture will be important to social psychology.

Institutions including families, education, economics, government, and religion will be useful in examining social psychology.

Sociology including social structure and change will be useful in examining social psychology. Communities including Tokyo, Seoul, Mexico City, and New York City may be useful. Peoples of the world including Asiatic peoples, Western civilization, African peoples, and American Indian peoples will be significant. Nations including the United States, China, India, and Indonesia can be connected.

History including prehistory, antiquity, and classical and medieval history will be useful in examining this subect. This has developed to some extent in modern history; slowly in the 16th century, 17th century, 18th century, but increasingly in the 19th century and 20th century. It has developed in the early 20th century, early-mid 20th century, mid 20th century, late-mid 20th century, late 20th century, and can be examined a little in the early 21st century. Its development in the future is obscure.
