Ronald Wilson Reagan


Reagan was born 6 Feb 1911, in Tampico, Illinois. He was raised in Dixon, Illinois and went to high school there. He attended Eureka college from 1928 to 1932. After graduation, Reagan worked as a radio sports announcer, and in 1937 began a career as an actor, where he appeared in some 53 films over the next 20 years. In 1940 he married Jane Wyman, whom he later divorced, and from 1947 to 1952 was President of the Screen Actors Guild. In 1952 he married Nancy Davis. He was associated with controversies over Communism in the motion picture industry, and his political views changed from liberal to conservative during this period.
