Ferdinand Magellan

Ferdinand Magellan was a Portuguese navigator and explorer, the leader of the first known expedition to sail around the world. He was born in 1450 CE and died in 1521 CE before completing the voyage. More details of his life and career will be considered as the site develops.

   

Magellan was born in late medieval times. He was active in the 16th century, and began his voyage in the early 16th century. He died in the early mid 15th century.
