Rene Descartes

Rene Descartes was a French philosopher and mathematician, one of the principal figures in what is known as the Enlightenment. He was born in 1596 CE and died in 1650 CE. More details about his life and career will be included as the site develops further.

   

Descartes was born in the 16th century, more specifically in the late 16th century. Most of his life and work were in the 17th century. The early 17th century, early mid 17th century, and mid 17th century can be connected.
