Hernán Cortés

Hernán Cortés (also called Cortez was a Spanish soldier, best known as the leader of the Spanish conquest of the Aztec empire of Mexico. He was born in 1485 CE and died in 1547 CE. More details about his life and career will be included as the site develops further.

He belongs principally to Western Civilization, particularly Latin peoples, but had a great influence on American Indian peoples.
