During the late-mid 20th century, I have few details of the early 1960s. In the late 1960s, he graduated from Yale University in 1968 with a Bachelor's degree in History, and served in the Texas Air National Guard, where he was trained as a pilot during the Vietnam war. In the early 1970s he was in school, and in 1975 he recieved an MBA from Harvard Business School. In the late 1970s he worked in the oil industry. During the late 20th century, he worked on his father's presidential campaign in 1988. In 1989 he became part owner and one of two general managers of a professional baseball club (the Texas Rangers). In 1994 he was elected governor of Texas and reelected in 1998. In 2000 he ran for President of the United States, and succeeded Bill Clinton as 43rd President of the United States. Bush finished a close second in the popular vote and the electoral vote was also nearly even. The decisive margin came with the electoral votes of Florida, which Bush won, amid some dispute and controversy, by the extremely narrow margin of only 537 votes of about 6 million cast. His greatest influence was in the early 21st century. In the early 2000s, he completed his first 4 year term as President of the United States and was re-elected. His best known actions as President include the war on terrorism and the invasion of Iraq. In the late 2000s including 2006, 2007, and 2008 he completed his second term in office, and in 2009 he ws succeeded by Barak Obama, and retired to his home in Texas. I do not yet have details of 2010. I do not have details of the early 2010s including 2011. His life may be projected into the future a short way. There are connections to sociology. Peoples of the world will be significant. He belongs to Western Civilization. Communities and Social structure and change can be considered. Institutions including religion, government, economics, education, and famlies can be connected. Culture including behavioral culture, conceptual culture, and material culture can be connected. This may be connected to anthropology, other personal studies, and science. |
