Augustus Caesar

Augustus Caesar is credited with being the first Roman Emperor. He was born in 63 BC and died in 14 CE. More details about his life and career will be included as the site develops further.

Anthropology including social foundations, demography, physical anthropology, humen ecology, human geography, and particular groups may be connected. Culture including material culture, and conceptual culture can be examined. Behavioral culture including customs, occupations, recreation and entertainment, and cultural events can be considered.

Institutions including families are important. I am unfamiliar with his connections to education including research, teaching, educational organization, or schools. Economics including economic activities, industries, and economic systems are significant. He is best known for his role in government including law, government structure, government activity, and particular governments. Augustus had an important role in Roman religion. Beliefs, practices, religious organization, and particular religions can be connected.

Augustus was principally concerned with Western Civilization, particularly Latin peoples, especially Italic or Roman and Balkan peoples, although there are some connections with Asiatic peoples, particularly those of the Middle East.

Augustus lived was born in early classical period, and died in the late classical period.
