History

Prehistory including early prehistory, middle prehistory, and late prehistory can be examined. Asian pagan religions can be identified in antiquity in the 5th millennium BC, the 4th millennium BC, the 3rd millennium BC, the 2nd millennium BC, and the early 1st millennium BC. In Classical and medieval times they began to decline and be replaced. In early classical times, the better known Asiatic religions began to be important. In late classical times, Asiatic religions continued to expand and in some measure supplant them. In Early medieval times, Islam arose and began to supplant even more of them, and by Late medieval times, they were generally far less significant than before.
