Details of particular religions and religious organization, practice, and beliefs are scanty. The evidence for religion in early prehistory including the Pliocene, early Pleistocene, late mid Pleistocene, and late Pleistocene is very scanty. Objects that are similar to those associated with religion in later periods become more numerous in middle prehistory, although I do not yet have many details of the 5th decamillennium BP, 4th decamillennium BP, 3rd decamillennium BP, or 2nd decamillenium BP. Late prehistory including the early 8th millennium BC, late 8th millennium BC, early 7th millennium BC, late 7th millennium BC, early 6th millennium BC, and late 7th millennium BC can be connected.
Religion became more complex and more evident, but was associated mostly with particular peoples. Particular religions can be examined. These were largely pagan, though the roots of Abrahamic and Asiatic traditions can be traced this far. Evidence of religious organization, practices, and beliefs is more evident than in earlier periods. In the 5th millennium BC, evidence of religion is available mostly from physical remains. In this period or the 2nd millennium BC, Abrahamic religion in the form of Israelite religion appeared. I do not yet have details of the early 2nd millennium BC, early mid 2nd millennium BC, mid 2nd millennium BC, late mid 2nd millennium BC, or late 2nd millennium BC. In the early first millennium BC BC, although religion was prominent, few of the particular traditions were recognizably modern. I do not yet have details of the 10th century BC, 9th century BC, 8th century BC, 7th century BC, or 6th century BC.
The major religions that appear in modern times arose and spread far from where they originated, so that religion was no longer so closely tied to particular peoples. Major divisions of Abrahamic, Asiatic, secularist, and pagan religions can all be identified. Evidence of religious organization, practice, and beliefs is more developed.
