Higher education has a signifcant history. It is not well known in prehistory or antiquity. It appeared in recognizable form in classical and medieval times, including early classical, late classical, early medieval and late medieval times.

It expanded substantially in modern times including the 16th century, 17th century, and 18th century. The 19th century including the early 19th century, early mid 19th century, mid 19th century, late mid 19th century, and lage 19th century can be connected. The 20th century including the early 20th century, early-mid 20th century, mid 20th century, late-mid 20th century, and late 20th century can be examined. Current events of the early 21st century including the early 2000s, late 2000s, and early 2010s are also useful. Its future is obscure.

Sociology

Peoples of the world include Asiatic peoples, Western civilization, African peoples, and American Indian peoples. Particular nations such as the United States , China, India, and Indonesia will be useful. Communities including Tokyo, Seoul, Mexico City, and New York City can be connected. Social structure and change including social change, social types, and social structure will also be explored.

Religion including particular religions, religious organization, religious practice, and religious belief can be connected. Government including particular governments, government activity, government structure, and law can be connected. Economics including economic systems, industries, and economic activities can be connected. This is very closely connected to other areas of education such as research, teaching, cultural institutions, educational organization, and other schools. This is also connected to families.

Connections to culture including material culture, conceptual culture, and behavioral culture are significant. Specific connections to anthropology, personal studies and science will be explored as this site develops.
