This is connected to families, economics, government, and religion. This is very closely connected to other areas of education such as research, teaching, cultural institutions, educational organization, and other schools.

Connections to sociology including social structure and change will also be explored. Communities including Tokyo, Seoul, Mexico City, and New York City can be connected. Peoples of the world include Asiatic peoples, Western civilization, African peoples, and American Indian peoples. Particular nations such as the United States , China, India, and Indonesia will be useful.

Higher education has a signifcant history. It appeared in recognizable form in classical and medieval times. It expanded substantially in modern times including the 16th century, 17th century, 18th century, 19th century, and 20th century. The 20th century including the early 20th century, early-mid 20th century, mid 20th century, late-mid 20th century, and late 20th century can be examined. Current events of the early 21st century including the early 2000s and late 2000s are also useful. Its future is obscure.
