These include study of the structure, organization, and behavior of households and firms of various kinds. Often referred to as microeconomics.

This includes the largest particular companies and corporations of the world.


Firms have a signifcant history Prehistory appears to be a bid difficult to examine, but developments in antiquity can be considered. Classical and medieval history including early classical, late classical, early medieval, and late medieval history can be followed. Developments in modern history including the 16th century, 17th century, 18th century, and 19th century can be examined. The 20th century including the early 20th century, early mid 20th century, mid 20th century, late mid 20th century, late 20th century, and early 21st century can be examined. Their future is obscure.

Connections to sociology including social structure and change and communities will also be explored. Peoples of the world including particular nations and Western Civilization, Asiatic peoples, African peoples, and American Indian peoples may give examples of firms.
