Economic systems

At present, this is intended to include information about particular forms of economc organization, major types of systems, and the cyclical behavior of such systems.

   

System behavior

Often referred to as macroeconomics. This includes behavior such as economic growth, decline, and cycles.

Types of systems

These include classification into Traditonal, feudal, mercantilist, command, and market economies. This also includes monetary systems and their interaction with the remainder of the economy.

Networks

This refers to trading networks, economic interdependencies, and chains of firms that contribute to a given product.

Firms

These include study of the structure, organization, and behavior of households and firms of various kinds. Often referred to as microeconomics.


History

The history of economic systems is obscure, but they have evolved over time starting from prehistory.

Prehistory

Early prehistory including the Pliocene, early Pleistocene, early mid Pleistocene, late mid Pleistocene, and late Pleistocene might be connected. I do not yet have details of the early 17th century, early mid 17th century, mid 17th century, late mid 17th century, or late 17th century.

In the 18th century, economic systems were studied in more detail. I do not yet have details for the early 18th century, early mid 18th century, or mid 18th century. The late mid 18th century including the early 1760s, late 1760s, early 1770s, and late 1770s can be connected. The late 18th century including the early 1780s, late 1780s, early 1790s, and late 1790s can be connected.

In the 19th century including the early 19th century, the early mid 19th century, the mid 19th century, the late mid 19th century, and the late 19th century they expanded considerably.

In the 20th century, including the early 20th century, early-mid 20th century, mid 20th century and late-mid 20th century, these have been studied in some detail, though not yet on this site. Recent events of the early 21st century including early 2000s down to 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005 are being examined.

The late 2000s including 2006 can be examined. Events of 2007 including those of the first quarter, second quarter, third quarter, and fourth quarter can be considered. Events of 2008 during the first quarter, second quarter, third quarter including July, August, and September can also be considered. The fourth quarter including October and November can also be connected. 2009 can be connected.

2010 including the first quarter 2010, second quarter 2010, and third quarter 2010 can be considered. The fourth quarter 2010 including October 2010 and November 2010 can be considered. Peoples of the world including African peoples will provide examples. Particular nations such as Bangladesh, Russia, Nigeria, Japan, Mexico, and the Philippines will be useful in examing the economics of peoples. Western civilization including Brazil is significant. Anglic peoples including those of the United States are important. Asiatic peoples including those of Pakistan can be considered. South Asian peoples including those of India are important. Oriental peoples including those of China can be examined. Southeast Asian peoples such as those of Indonesia can be considered. American Indian peoples such as are found in the United States and Brazil are much less significant.

Particular communities such as Tokyo, Seoul, Mexico City, and New York City will also provide examples of these.

Social structure and change

Social change

Particular changes including the agricultral revolution and agrarian revolution can be connected. Tne industrial revolution including the early industrial revolution, middle industrial revolution, and late industrial revolution can be connected. Social change factors including institutional change, cultural change, demographic change, and natural change can be connected. Social change processes including innovation, transmission, adaptation, and extinction can be connected.

Social types including hunting and gathering societies and horticultural societies can be connected. Industrial societies can be connected. Agrarian societies can be connected.

Social structure including community and regional structure, class structure, institutional structure, cultural structure, and demographic structure can be connected.

Other Institutions

Religion

Particular religions such as Abrahamic religion, Asiatic religion, secularism, and pagan religion can be compared. Religious organization including highly structured, fragmented, and loosely structured religion can be connected. Religious practice can be connected. Religious belief can be connected.

Government

Other Economics

Economic systems are intimately tied to industries. Agriculture, extraction and manufacturing, building and construction, social and medical, transportation, communication, and commercial and financial services are all important. This depends heavily on studies of economic activity including production, distribution and exchange, and consumption.

Education including research, teaching, cultural institutions, educational organization can be connected. Schools including higher education, secondary education, and primary education can be connected.

Families including particular families, kinship, parenting, and marriage can be connected.

Culture

Behavioral components including customs, occupations, recreation, and entertainment will be important. Cultural events such as miscellaneous events, holidays, meetings, and disasters can be considered. Conceptual culture including language, graphic arts, literature, mathematics, applied science, and philosophy will be useful. Material culture including miscellaneous artifacts, communication systems, transportation systems, clothing and dress, foodstuffs, building technology, and industrial technology can also be connected.

Anthropology

Particular groups can be connected. Human geography including European geography, Asian geography, African geography, North American geography, South American geography, and Oceanic geography can be connected. Human ecology including effects of people on the environment, relations with other life, and effects of the environment on people can be connected. Physical anthropology including human dispersion, racial variation, and human origins can be connected. Demography including population change, population size and structure, birth, migration, and death can be connected. Social foundations including social group behavior, social group types, social control, social interactions, and social presentation can be connected.

Personal studies

Biography can be connected. Psychology including social psychology, personality, mental disorders, developmental psychology, behavior patterns, mind, and behavioral elements can be connected. The human body including form and appearance, life cycle, disease, body functions, and body systems can be connected.

Science including physics, chemistry, astronomy, earth science, and biology seems to be indirectly connected.
