Science including physics, chemistry, astronomy, earth science, and biology can be connected. Personal studies including the human body, psuchology, and biography can be connected. Anthropology including social foundations, demography, physical anthropology, human ecology, human geography, and particular groups can be considered. Social structure and change

Social structure including anthropological structure, cultural structure, institutional structure, class structure, and community and regional structure will be important. Social types including hunting and gathering societies, horticultural societies, agrarian societies, and industrial societies can be connected. Social change including social change factors, social change processes, and particular changes can be connected.

Communities such as Tokyo, Seoul, Mexico City, and New York City are also important.

Peoples of the world including African peoples are vital. Particular nations such as Bangladesh, Russia, Nigeria, Japan, Mexico, and the Philippines can be considered. Western civilization was highly important. In Brazil there was a succession of military dictators, as Artur da Costa e Silva and Emilio Garrastazu Médici headed the government. Among Anglic peoples, in the United States a civil rights movement with some civil unrest, resistance to the draft and the Vienam war, and other institutions of society was taking place, and Richard M. Nixon was elected president. Asiatic peoples can be considered. In Pakistan the military government led by Ayub Khan continued to rule. He named Yahya Khan as his successor, called a national election, and resigned from office. Zulfikar Ali Bhutto won in the election in West Pakistan, but by Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in East Pakistan. Among South Asian peoples, in India, Indira Gandhi served as Prime Minister. Among Oriental peoples, in China, Mao's Cultural Revolution continued. Among Southeast Asian peoples, in Indonesia, Sukarno was stripped of power and deposed, and succeeded by Suharto. American Indian peoples as found in the United States and Brazil are less well known.

Other History

Connections with other periods of history can be made, though those through classical and medieval history are weak. Connections oof modern history through the 19th century are also weak. The 20th century through the mid 20th century is indirectly connected. In the late mid 20th century, this is preceded by the early 1960s.

It is followed by the early 1970s. Developments have continued into and beyond the late 20th century. The future is only weakly connected.
