c. 1216 - 1223 CE Genghis Khan rules the Mongols and conquers Central Asia. He and his successors conquer or invade China, Russia, and Persia.
c. 1259 - 1272 Thomas Aquinas becomes one of the foremost medieval theologians. His principal work is the "Summa Theologiae"


This will be connected to science, personal studies, anthropology, culture, and institutions. Sociology including social structure and change, communities, and peoples of the world will be important.	Links to other sites: Not yet developed.
Connections to prehistory and antiquity are weak. This is also connected fairly weakly to other classical and medieval periods through the early medieval period. It is part of the late medieval period. Other classical and medieval periods are significant. This is studied somewhat in modern history beginning with the 16th century and will be in the future.
