In the Middle East there was substantial cultural advance. I do not yet have details for Syria. Among Mesopotamian peoples in Iraq, there were signs of civilization in the Sumerian culture. Turkey was mostly Neolithic, but by late in the period, signs of Bronze age metallurgy were present. In Egypt, Upper and Lower Egypt were united in the Old Kingom and written history began. Among Persian peoples, in Iran, there were buildings and signs of civilization comparable to neighboring Mesopotamia. I lack details of Arabian peoples including those of Saudi Arabia and Yemen. I lack details of Afghanistan. I do not have much information about North African peoples including those of Morocco. In Algeria, Neolithic cultures appear to have predominated.
Among South Asian peoples, India where Neolithic farming villages can be found is significant. I have little information on Pakistan. I have little information on Bangladesh. I have no information on Nepal or Sri Lanka.
Among Central Asian peoples, I have no information on Kazakhstan. Among Inner Asian peoples, I have no specific information on Uzbekistan.
Among Oriental peoples, the Yang Shao culture of China expanded. I have no specific information on Taiwan or Japan. I also have no specific information on South Korea or North Korea.
Peoples of Southeast Asia probably developed, although I have no specific information on Australia. I have no information on Mainland Southest Asia including Vietnam, Thailand, Burma, or Malaysia. I have no information yet on the Southeast Asian Archipelagoes. I have no information on Indonesia for this period. I have no specific information on the Philippines.
Western civilization is poorly known. In the Netherlands the Funnelbeaker culture was predominant. Among Anglic peoples there were Neolithic farming villages. Specifically, in what is now the UK there were Neolithic farming villages. I have little specific information on Latin peoples. In Spain, Neolithic culture prevailed. For Italic peoples, I have little information on Italy, except that Bronze or copper working technology seems to have been introduced. For French peoples, in France, copper working technology seems to have been introduced. Among Germanic peoples, I have no specific information on Germany. I have little information on Northeast European peoples. I have no information on Russia. In Ukraine, there were Neolithic cultures and perhaps copper working. I have no information on Poland except that there were Neolithic peoples there. Among Balkan peoples, in Romania a couple of Neolithic cultures were well established.
African peoples are not well known. I know little of Senegal. I have little information on East African peoples including Uganda. I know little of Northern East African peoples including those of Ethiopia during this period. I have no specific information on Interior East African peoples including Sudan. I have no specific information on Central East African peoples including those of Tanzania or Kenya. I have no specific information on West Africa, which includes Niger. I have no details of Southern Coastal West Africa including Nigeria, Ghana, and Cote d'Ivoire. I have little information on Interior West Africa including Burkina Faso. I have little information on Southern Africa including South Africa, Mozambique, Madagascar, and Malawi. I also have little information on Central Africa including Congo (DR) and Cameroon.
American Indian peoples can possibly be examined. I have no specific information on Guatemala. Middle American peoples including those of Mexico can be considered. Southwestern American Indian peoples of the southwestern United States can be connected. South American Indian peoples can be examined. I have no information on peoples of Ecuador. Andean peoples including those of Colombia, Argentina, Peru , Venezuela, and Chile can be connected. Amazonian peoples including those of Brazil and Argentina can be connected. Cono/Southern American Indian peoples including those of Argentina and Chilecan be connected. North American Indian peoples such as were found in what is now the United States and Canada can be examined. Eastern North American Indian peoples, Western North American Indian peoples, and Northern North American Indian peoples can be considered.
