Applied science includes technical branches of knowledge dependent on human practices and conventions as measurement, accounting, engineering, electronics, computer science, information theory, and other areas to be included as the site develops. This area is subject to reorganization as the site develops. The distinguishing feature is that they all incorporate some version of mathematics. |
|
Measurement includes various systems of measurement ranging from Calendar systems to the metric system (S.I.) used in scientific studies.
Engineering science includes such divisions as mechanical, thermal, electrical and electronic, materials, chemical, structural, and industrial.
Navigation includes as a more general case space navigation, and parts of ballistics.
Medical science includes aspects of medicince such as pharmacology, diagnostics, epidemiology,
This includes such things as the technical analysis of switching, computer science, and general systems theory.
This includes accounting and its various techniques
This includes branches such as game theory, economic and political decision making.

Applied science depends heavily on Natural science. It makes use of Physics, chemistry, astronomy, earth science, and biology. Personal studies including the human body, psychology, and biography may be useful. Anthropology including tsocial foundations, demography, physical anthropology, human ecology, human geography, and particular groups may be useful. |

These areas depend on material culture. They also depend on language, graphics, literature, and especially on mathematics. They do not depend so heavily on philosophy. They are also closely connected with behavioral culture. Connections with institutions remain to be examined. Examples from economics, education, and families can be considered. Government including law, government structure, government activity, and particular governments presents an applied area. Religion including religious beliefs, practice, organization, and particular religions seems to be indirectly useful. SociologySocial structure and change including social structure, social types, and social change will be useful in applied science. Communities tuch as Tokyo, Seoul, Mexico City, and New York City will be somewhat useful in applied science. Variations have arisen among the various peoples of the world. African peoples can be considered. Nations such as Indonesia, Brazil, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Russia form a starting point for examination of applied science. Western Civilization including the United States has developed it extensively.Asiatic peoples including those of India are less directly significant. Oriental peoples including those of China have made some contributions. American Indian peoples as found in the United States have not had so much influence. HistoryI have little information on their development in preshistory. To some extent, they developed in antiquity. I have little information on the 5th millennium BC or the 4th millennium BC, but there is some from the 3rd millennium BC, more from the 2nd millennium BC, and yet more from the early first millennium BC. The had considerable classical and medieval development, though a great deal of their development has been modern. The 16th, 17th, 18th, and 19th have demonstrated substantial advances. The pace of advance in the 20th century including the early 20th century, early-mid 20th century, mid 20th century, late-mid 20th century, and late 20th century have been substantial. The early 21st century including the early 2000s and late 2000s can be considered. The future is not yet closely examined. |
