Little detail is available about them in prehistory, but some information is available from antiquity, through classical and medieval times, including early classical, late classical, early medieval and late medieval times. More information is avialable from modern times, starting in the 16th century 17th century, 18th century, 19th century, and 20th century. Their future is not yet clear.
