Occupations

These are adapted from the Standard Occupational Classification published by the US Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics. Since the US has the world's largest and most complex economy, this seems an appropriate starting point for discussing occupations.

   

Service occupations

These include health related, business and commercial, entertainment, and institutional related occupations.

Industrial occupations

These occupations include mining and forestry, material processing, production and manufacture, some of architecture and enginnerind manufacture, and intallation, maintenance, and repair occupations.

Communication related

These occupations include printing and publishing, electronic media production, and computing.

Social change including social change processes is also important. Particular changes and movements including the agricultural revolution, agrarian revolution, and industrial revolution can be connected. Social change factors including institutional change, cultural change, demographic change, and natural change can be connected.

Social types including hunting and gathering societies, horticultural societies, agrarian societies, and industrial societies can be connected. Social structure including community and regional structure, class structure, institutional structure, cultural structure, and anthropologicla structure can be connected.

Institutions

Religion including religious practice and beliefs provides numerous examples. Particular religions including Abrahamic religion, Asiatic religion, pagan religion, and secularism can be connected.
